Thank you for taking the time to read and respond.Generation Y can be difficult. You did read that correctly but unfortunately, I think you missed the point in the rest.I am definitely not speaking down on my generation nor do I hate the rest. I believe we are quite powerful in what we can accomplish. We are innovative. We are engaged. We are not limited to what was in the past.As wonderful as I think we are, we are difficult (should I repeat that again?) and when I wrote this over two years ago, I was helping a non profit define their brand and voice. With a company that wants to do such good, how can we get my generation on board with their cause?My blog was merely platform to throw ideas around.Regardless, thank you for reading and stopping to respond.Have a lovely week,Dani

Another Gen Yer speaking down on the rest. "Oh I hate my Gen Y, I'm so different." You as people suck. All of you. We hate advertising. We hate TV unless it has a message and fads suck.

Thanks for sharing this article, Danielle! It reminds me of a quote I think of often (can't remember where I heard it...) - "Don't ever think it's a slam dunk." I always want to move forward and keep striving and improving... we truly never get to a point where we arrive and just can sit back and bask. For someone like Timm Gunn to have such a humble and helpful point of view says a lot about his character.

Ashley (who is no longer with Walmart and moving to Amazon.com) and I were talking about this for a while. It will be interesting to see what how they react. I have no problem with them keeping with the Kindle and being a competitor. Competition is good!

I am mostly excited to see how newspapers and magazines react. I would pay for interactive digital content on a reader with magazines and newspaper. But being with a newspaper for a year they seem to have a bit of a an old boy's club mentality.

We will see. :)

Interesting entry. Amazon did let HP-Microsoft use their platform for the HP Slate, so it's a start.
